Avoid Bad Lighting For Your Event

The Texas sun can be unbearable during the summer months.  But in addition to the heat, lighting for photography during the mid-day hours is poor.  The bright overhead sun produces harsh shadows and subjects often find it extremely difficult to keep their eyes open during a shoot.  If it is a cloudy day, then it will reduce the harsh light and in turn helps to produce better photos.  The best time to shoot is early in the morning during sunrise or at  sunset.  During these hours of the day, the sun gives off a beautiful golden yellow light, which is why photographers refer to it as the “Golden hour” of photography.
